Summit of Kaunispää

Summit of Kaunispää is located 437 meters above sea level, as the name implies, at the top of the rugged Kaunispää hill. The indescribable views of nearly a hundred fells await Lapland's visitors. In clear weather you can see up to 40 km from the Russian fells. According to the season, the Peak is shrouded in the splendor of autumn colors, the northern lights of winter and the shimmering hoe, not forgetting the summer time of a nightless night.

How to reach us?

It is easy to come to the top. The distance from the center of Saariselkä is only 2 km, which can be use by e.g. on foot, by car, bike, skiing, on a sledge or snowmobile. The ski slopes, chair lift and ski trails and walking trail bring you right to the corner of the Summit of Kaunispää. In summer, walking and cycling routes follow the trail base.
